Bundanoon offers the visitor the perfect opportunity to participate in one or more of our well known festivities held throughout the year.
Bundanoon attracts vast numbers of tourists all year round (up to 20,000 in one day for Brigadoon alone). Noted for it beautiful weather and four distinct seasons it offers the visitor the perfect opportunity to participate in one or more of our well known festivities held throughout the year.
After the mists have risen at dawn, the town of Bundanoon becomes the magical Scottish town of Brigadoon for a day (even the name on the station changes to Brigadoon!)
The main street is closed and there is a bustle of activity as people prepare for the big parade.
Visitors from all over Australia (and sometime farther) make their way for this very special day.
Winter sees ”Winterfest” happening with weeks of events, courses and programs and best of all our street part where all are welcome for a fun night filled with exciting food, music and activities for the children. Be sure to rug up and grab a glass of gluhwein (mulled wine) to keep the brisk evening chills at bay.
Spring in Bundanoon is beautiful and one weekend in October sees the Bundanoon Garden Ramble opening local gardens to all. Scarecrows line the streets everyone has a good time.
The more energetic head to town for the Highlands Fling – a mountain bike marathon for all. Offering a scenic and challenging route through forests and farmland in the Southern Highlands of NSW, hammering singletrack, forest tracks, dirt road and less than 2km of blacktop. Those without as much stamina line the streets for the infamous Bundanoon Dash (down the notorious Constitution Hill) and the fun ”Battle of the Businesses”
There’s always something happening in Bundanoon!
